Hello stampers,
I
have been really struggling with low mojo the last few weeks. Stamping has been
my therapy for 25 years, my one happy place, but it's been a struggle to create
something within a reasonable timeframe which means even though I'm a night owl
by the time I get a card done I'm ready for bed so the posts can sometimes be
written the next day, like this one today. I would be so happy to get a few
cards done & scheduled days in advance it just hasn't happened like that
lately.
For today's card, I decided I wanted to
work with the new In Color Petunia Pop, it isn't a favorite of mine yet,
because it reminds me of the retired Orchid Opulence that I wasn't a fan of
at all. I wanted to at least give it a bit of time before I made any real
decision. I started with a layer of Basic White Cardstock that I stamped the
branch wreath from the Encircled In Nature Stamp Set using Crumb Cake Ink, then
die cut in using the Encircled In Nature Dies to create an opening. I then
glued this to a layer of Petunia Pop Cardstock, using the white layer as a
guide I die-cut another opening, then attached both these layers to a Basic
Beige Cardstock base. Next, I used a scrap piece of Basic White Cardstock stamping
the floral stamp from the set with Crumb Cake Ink then die-cutting it, then
used the rest of the layer to add color with Blending Brushes, along with
Petunia Pop & Lemon Lime Twist Ink Pads before die-cutting the additional flower/leaves.
I colored the floral die-cut with Petunia Pop, Lemon Lime Twist & Daffodil
Delight Stampin’ Blends. Before I started to assemble my card, I added a
sentiment from the set with Petunia Pop Ink directly onto the Basic Beige Cardstock base, then layered the flowers/leaf
die-cuts with Multipurpose Liquid Glue before attaching the floral die cut with
Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals. Lastly, I colored a few Rhinestone Basic Jewels
with Petunia Pop Stampin’ Blends before adding them to the card.
