Stamp Review Crew - Hearts & Hugs

Hello stampers,

It's the 3rd Monday of the month & that means it's time for the Stamp Review Crew Blog Hop. We are a group of Stampin' Up! Demonstrators from around the world who share different ideas made with the featured stamp set. This week, we are featuring Hearts & Hugs.

I started working on a sketch challenge, then realized I still had to make a card for today's blog hop. So it's a 2-for-1 card. I started by stamping the badgers from the Hearts & Hugs Stamp Set onto Basic White Cardstock using Memento Black Ink, then colored them in using the Smoky Slate & Basic Black Stampin' Blends Combo Packs. This image was then die-cut using the Stylish Shapes Dies. I started to build my card with a Basic White Cardstock base then adding a layer of Misty Midnight Cardstock, followed by a layer &  strip from the Country Lace DSP before adding the retired Smoky Slate Stitched Ribbon & the focal stamped image. For the sentiment, I chose one from the set stamping it with Misty Moonlight Ink onto Smoky Slate Cardstock, punched it out using the retired Classic Label Punch & then popped it up using Mini Stampin' Dimensionals.
