Nature's Symphony - Thinking Of You

Hello Stampers,
Sympathy cards are never easy to make, especially when they are for family. When I started this card for a sketch challenge with The Paper Players I was going in a totally different direction but by the finishing touches I decided to make this for a family member. Getting old really sucks not only for those we lose, but also for us when medical issues arise & we feel like we can't just catch a break, it has truly been one of those weeks.

For this card, I chose to use Lost Lagoon Cardstock for the base & the background layer which was embossed using the Exposed Brick 3D Embossing Folder. For the strip, I used the Nature's Walk DSP which I adhered to the embossed layer. I used the Nature's Symphony Dies to make a die-cut of the leaves using Pretty Peacock Cardstock. For the sentiment, I used Lost Lagoon Cardstock, punched out with the 3 Banner Punch, then stamped the sentiment from the Beautiful Motifs Stamp Set with Pretty Peacock Ink & used Stampin' Dimensionals to pop it up. Lastly, I used the retired Dragonflies & Birds to finish the card.
