Winter Woods

Hello stampers,
The idea for today's card kind of just hit me while I was working on another card, so I went with it. I usually can't do more than 10 cards with 1 design, so I end up doing several designs a year.
For this card, I started with a small piece of Whisper White Cardstock, I think I'm too used to cutting cardstock down to card front size, but I managed to go with the flow & I don't think it looks too bad being a tad bit smaller than the card base. I took the fir tree from the Winter Woods Stamp Set & first stamped it using Night Of Navy Ink, then repeated that on either side with Balmy Blue Ink, before layering it onto Night Of Navy Cardstock. For the base, I used Balmy Blue Cardstock & used two of the word stamps from Merry Christmas To All Stamp Set & tried to give it an ombre look by first stamping it into Balmy Blue Ink then overtop layering on the Night Of Navy Ink at the 1/2 way mark. What do you think?
Card Measurements

  • Balmy Blue base- 5.5"x8.5"
  • Night Of Navy layer-3.5"x5.25"
  • Whisper White layer- 3.25"x5.25"
