VC Rocks June Blog Hop

Hello stampers,
     Today's card is a sneak peek for tomorrow's VC Rocks Blog Hop- Fun With The New Catty which technically goes live at noon EST! I hope y'all are enjoying all the new stamps & accessories that are in this year's catalog. If you haven't seen it yet, you can follow the link on the left to give you a copy of the virtual catalog. What is VC Rocks? It is a yahoo group of demos & customers alike that celebrate the new Stampin' Up! catalog every year. 
     For my card, I decided to use a new stamp set called Rooted In Nature. I started my card with a base of Very Vanilla Card Stock, a neutral I don't use nearly as much as I should, but what can I say I like the brightness of Whisper White. For the next layer, I used a Soft Suede Card Stock & made my own background using the trunk in the set with Soft Suede Ink. For the stamped piece, I used the big oak tree (I think that is what it is!!) from the set stamping it with both Old Olive & Soft Suede Ink. Next, I stamped the sentiment from the set in Old Olive Ink. To finish off the card, I backed this piece with a layer of Old Olive Card Stock. A nice simple card, just the way I like it.
