Oceanfront - Feel Better

Hello stampers,
Did you get to stamp this weekend? I started by doing a few old, old Paper Pumpkin kits (I have TONS not made! EEK) then figured I'd better get a few cards made as I have solar being installed the next couple of days & one of them being without electricity the whole day. YAY, NOT! I stumbled across a themed challenge from The Paper Players & thought I'd give it a go. I really like the way that this card turned out & may make it again with a different sentiment for a family member.
I really love sunrises & sunsets on the water. I've had the privilege of living close to the Pacific Ocean & the China Sea while at 2 duty stations & I so miss the views. I started this card with a Basic White Cardstock card front, using the Oceanfront Stamp Set I stamped the horizon by adding Heather Highland, Pale Papaya & Balmy Blue Inks with Sponge Daubers. Then I stamped the water with Pool Party Ink first then added Coastal Cabana & Bermuda Bay Inks with Sponge Daubers. I added the sand using Crumb Cake Ink then used the speckled stamp with Soft Suede Ink. On a scrap piece of Basic White Cardstock, I stamped the rocks using Soft Suede Ink then fussy cut them out using the Paper Snips. I decided to add some of the grass blades from the set using Mossy Meadow Ink. Just as I was finishing stamping everything, I decided I wanted to make a frame type of card so I used the Stitched Rectangle Dies to die-cut the center. I laid down the outer frame on the cardstock to give me a point of reference as to where the die-cut would lay then glued it to the Coastal Cabana Cardstock base. For the frame, I glued the rocks to this part before adding Stampin' Dimensionals to the frame & adding that to the base. For the sentiment, I used Coastal Cabana Cardstock with Bermuda Bay Ink to stamp a sentiment from the Cottage Rose Stamp Set, then fussy cut the right side to have a banner end.
